Come Meet Alice Paul! (January 11th , 1885 – July 9th, 1977).
A key figure in the women’s suffrage movement, Alice Paul was born into a Quaker family in our very own Mount Laurel, New Jersey. Some of Alice’s achievements include…
- Earning a Masters of Arts degree from The University of Pennsylvania in 1907 as well as a Doctorate of Law from American University in 1928
- Working tirelessly towards the passage of the 19th Amendment, giving women the right to vote.
- Authoring the Equal Rights Amendment which, unfortunately, still has yet to be passed.

After the tour, we have arranged an optional luncheon at the nearby Turning Point Restaurant (adjacent to the Moorestown Mall). Everyone can order what they want .. separate checks will be provided. When you register for the tour, indicate if you plan to attend the luncheon.
