Kimberlee Moran, Associate Teaching Professor of Forensic Science at Rutgers University–Camden, will tell the intriguing story of The First Baptist Church of Philadelphia’s Burial Ground at 218 Arch Street, Philadelphia.
Although the burial ground was supposedly moved in 1860, human remains were found during construction excavation of the site in 2016. What ensued was a race-against-time archaeological excavation of the site.
This presentation will provide an overview of the project, what is currently known about the site and the recovered human remains.
